Description
I have decided to sell (somewhat reluctantly) my Neil Peart drumstick collection, which has been close to 20+ years in the making. This listing is best viewed, if possible, on either a large tablet or a desktop PC. This is an ULTIMATE (In my humble opinion) Neil Peart drumstick collection (29 total pairs) LOT, WITH custom made (not by me) display racks INCLUDED! This collection spans the years from 1994-2015. I have thoroughly researched the rarer sticks in the collection from an online site that I trust for accurate information. Most of you have probably visited the site. I want to first let you know that in any of the pictures where the sticks appear warped...THEY ARE NOT. This appearance is only due to my camera lens distortion when in full wide-angle setting. I also have the sticks and close-ups pics labeled with RED numbers in parenthesis to identify sets and individual pairs. The red numbers are somewhat small, so you may have to "hover and zoom" to see these numbers. The sticks are in excellent condition, especially for the age on some of them. Any flaws, and there are only a few, will be noted. THERE ARE NO PROMARK "SLEEVES", STICKERS, OR COA'S. JUST THE STICKS. (And racks). The sticks are as follows: PICTURE two, set (1) Clockwork Angels set (all six alchemical symbols). Issued 2012-2013. PICTURE three, set (2) Time Machine set (all six symbols) 2010-2012. As can be seen, the top pair has misaligned stamping. How or why, I don't know. PICTURE four, set (3) R30 Drum Kit Commemorate set one and two. 2006. PICTURE five, pair (4), Vapor Trails Tour 2002. This set has what appears to be "use" marks (4) (A). Also, what appears to be "tape" marks from previous owner. No residue, but quite strange unfortunately. (4) (B). Use marks are HIGHLY unlikely from "stage use". (Truthfully, I always feel that sticks that are listed as Neil stage used, can never be proven, since anyone can "mark them up" by banging them on drum rims. They could be legit, but no real way of knowing.) Fairly rare. Pair (5), Counterparts Tour 1994, with serial # 39 (5A). Very rare. Pair (6), 1995 sticks, not a tour issued pair. Very rare. Pair (7), 2009- 2010 sticks, not a tour issued pair. Slight "misprint" of the number "7" in "747". Fairly rare. Pair (8), 2013-2015 sticks, not a tour issued pair. Pair (9), R40 tour sticks 2015. PICTURE six, pair (10), "NP" Snakes & Arrows sticks. 2007-2008. Most of you know what the "NP" mark is. (Personal sticks made by PROMARK, for Neil only. Not available in retail market.) Purchased about 10 or 12 years ago, here on EBAY. Obviously VERY RARE. Light red cosmetic print mark below "USA" on bottom stick picture (10 A). Pair (11), R30 Tour (Black ink) 2004. Pair (12), R30 "SS PROFESSOR TOUR". Drum kit tour. Limited Edition of 2,609 pairs. 2005. Slight wear or misprint on letters of words "Limited Edition" of top stick. See (12a). Fairly rare pair. Pair (13), R30 Replica Drum Kit owners. "GREEN INK". LIMITED EDITION OF 900 PAIRS. 2006. Fairly rare. Pair (14), Snakes & Arrows "Retail" sticks. 2007-2008. Somewhat rare. That's it folks. Truly an outstanding collection that I have treasured for many years. It's time to part with them and let a fellow RUSH fanatic enjoy them! I have followed the band since 1976, and have seen them live "countless" times, including several times in the very early days, in the 3,000-seat old Stanley Theater (Now the Benedum Center) here in Pittsburgh. Saw many "Hall of fame" caliber Classic Rock bands at the "Old Stanley" and the now gone, 3700-seat Syria Mosque venue, in early periods of their careers. Oh...those WERE the days! (Yes, I'm old!) Like everyone else, was stunned and saddened upon hearing of Neil's very untimely passing. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. These sticks will only be sold as a COMPLETE LOT. Please don't ask for individual pairs. Thanks. Shipping will be FREE via UPS GROUND, with insurance and signature confirmation, to "lower 48 states". Alaska, Hawaii and International destinations: I will be glad to check shipping prices, but I would guess it might be pretty pricey if you want the display racks. (To these destinations, I can always get a price WITHOUT the racks). PAYPAL ONLY. No returns. I feel I have described everything very accurately. Thanks for reading this very long description. I wanted to be as concise as possible. glennboston
