    Description

Permanent Waves Tour Program, Autographed by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson.
I am the original owner of this program, and purchased it at the show at the Capitol Centre on September 26, 1980. The show was very heavy on songs from Permanent Waves, but they also premiered “Tom Sawyer” and “Limelight” from Moving Pictures, which had not been released yet. Geddy introduced those as “a song from our next album.” The entire concert can be heard on youtube, here:

After the show, my buddy and I went around to where the tour buses were parked, hoping to get our programs signed. A roadie came out and told the crowd that all of our programs would be signed if we formed an orderly line, so all of us Rush nerds obediently formed a line and Geddy and Alex came out to sign everyone’s albums or programs. While this was going on, Neil, wearing a baseball cap with the brim down over his eyes, sprinted past the line and jumped on the bus. So he wasn’t into signing autographs that night, which was fine, because he just got finished putting on an amazing show for us. I’ll always remember the experience.
It’s really hard for me to part with this bit of personal history, but I need the money, so now’s the time.

I’m auctioning off a lot of my old collectibles right now and in the coming weeks. I’m calling it my Pre-Death Estate Sale. I just need the cash right now.
I’ve been collecting since the late 70s. Yes, I’m old. There’s going to be a lot of rock, metal and punk stuff up as well as many other interesting items, both musical and non. Come check it all out. Thanks for looking.
